Ms. Blue does an excellent job of creating an exciting intriguing setting in which creatures of the night are real and the knowledge that there are humans who know they exist are palpable. Parker Blue’s writing is fluid, crafty, and enticing as she draws us into Val’s world. The secondary characters were well-developed and had a purpose throughout each book in the series, which only increased the depth of the plot.
